Tom joined Hill & Abbott in 2006 and successfully completed his Training Contract with the firm before accepting a full time position as Solicitor in the Employment and Civil Litigation Department, where he carried out much of his training.
His work in Civil Litigation includes advising on contractual disputes, consumer complaints, debt recovery and also the conduct of Court hearings.
Tom’s Employment work includes both bringing and defending claims by employees for unfair dismissal or discrimination, advising on redundancy procedures and compromise agreements, as well as drafting of contracts of employment and staff handbook policies.
In his spare time he enjoys the gym as well as being involved in the local community. Tom has remained local during his life, attending both school and university in nearby Colchester and then returning to work in Chelmsford after a year in Holborn on the Legal Practice Course.
Tom is a member of Business Networking International and is also an Associate Member of the Employment Lawyers Association.
