Although bullying itself is not against the law, harassment is unlawful under the Equality Act 2010. Bullying can lead to low morale within the workplace leading to absenteeism and potentially good staff leaving the business. Harassment can be equally serious and can lead to an employee who feels they have been harassed making a claim in the Employment Tribunal.
