Have you been affected by the demise of Universal Wealth Preservation (also known as Universal Tax Solutions and Universal Asset Protection) businesses which deal with Wills, Trusts and Asset Protection?
Earlier this year Universal Asset Protection entered compulsory liquidation, their website has been taken down and their property had been vacated prior to their compulsory liquidation. As a result, their clients have been unable to contact them or any of their subsidiary companies. Many clients are seeing letters, calls and emails go unanswered.
This has been featured in the news recently on BBC’s Money Box programme on Radio 4. Hill & Abbott have been contacted by a number of people concerned about Universal Wealth Preservation and the impact on them. If you have Wills, Trusts or other arrangements in place with Universal Wealth Preservation and you need advice, please contact Clare Moreton on 01245 258892 and see how we can help you.

You may be affected if you have:

- LPA’s – you will need to make new LPA’s if members of Universal Wealth Preservation are Trustees
- Property – If Universal Wealth Preservation are Trustees on the original Trust Deed they will need removing
Many Universal Wealth Preservation clients will need the related business Universal Trustees Ltd to sign forms that release them as Trustees. This application can only be made by a Solicitor, who will need to make a written request for up-to-date contact details to be released. We can help with this.
